Job Requirements:

  1. This position is within the ministries of University Boulevard Church of the Nazarene (UBNC) and requires full participatory membership of UBNC. You must profess belief is Christ Jesus as Lord and Savior.
  2. Masters degree in a a discipline complimentary with education or administration, or an advance certificate in a discipline complimentary with education, or significant years (10+) years of successful teaching experience.
  3. Possess clear strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  4. Ability to manage fast paced, multifaceted job with stability, objectivity and optimism.
  5. Ability to interact effectively with parents, teachers, church staff, church members and School Board.
  6. Ability and desire to accomplish the organization’s mission.

Essential Job Function:

  1. Provide effective spiritual, academic, and organizational leadership.
  2. Oversee all human resources functions including, hiring, evaluation and termination. Maintain high level performance from teachers, administrative and support staff.
    1. Provide resource for both professional and academic development of all staff.
    2. Schedule and perform classroom observations
  3. Maintain high academic excellence.
    1. Manage and select curriculums that both challenge our students and advance their academic prowess.
    2. Provide input and assistance to, teachers, parents and students concerning academic issues
  4. Promote spiritual growth
    1. Exhibit and enforce Christlike behavior throughout the school
    2. Direct people to a relationship with Jesus
    3. Design and manage systems that promote and encourage involvement in UBNC
      1. Incudes School activities, Founders Fund, and cross pollination activities with Children’s ministries at UBNC
    4. Ensure finance and facilities are well managed. We have an expectation of excellence and good stewardship reflects this both to our families and to our community.
    5. Promote CHA in the community that enhances enrollment.
    6. All other functions associated with school operations

Ministry Description:

It is the mission of University Boulevard Nazarene Church to direct people to a relationship with Jesus. Worship is a significant part of that mission. The worship director is responsible for leading all aspects of the worship experience.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  1. Lead your ministry in prayer and devotion
  2. Lead a Life group with intention of developing relationships that foster spiritual growth
  3. Provide pastoral care for those assigned in your care area. Recruit, train and develop a volunteer team capable of fulfilling needed roles
  4. Lead worship in all services
  5. Produce a musical worship experience that helps draw the congregation close to God. Be obedient to the Spirit’s moving
  6. Maintain a worship style that is authentic, contemporary, and quality
  7. Recruit, train, and develop musicians, vocalist and tech crew needed to conduct a high-quality worship service. This includes: Sound, Lighting, Video and support roles
  8. Develop the worship team by encouraging musical arts as a ministry
  9. Design and implement stage designs that helps encourage worship
  10. All other duties as assigned by the Lead Pastor

Hispanic Community Engagement Director

Hispanic Community Engagement Director

Job Description:

This role will engage the Spanish speaking community in order to attract people to explore a relationship with UBNC and providing a smooth onboarding system designed to increase membership and member participation. This includes, marketing, event coordination and assimilation processes

Roles and Responsibilities:

  1. Provide care for those assigned in your care area.
  2. Recruit, train, develop and deploy a volunteer leadership team capable of fulfilling needed roles.
  3. Engage the Spanish Speaking Community
    1. Develop Discipleship Program, start Spanish Speaking worship service
  4. Understand marketing strategies that will help UBNC connect to our community
  5. Have an ability to understand and implement UBNC’s assimilation strategy
  6. Create and oversee community engagement events targeting the Hispanic Community. At least four per year
  7. All other duties as assigned

Education Director

Job Description:

Lead the educational development for children and lead parent’s education program. This includes curriculum selection, volunteer recruitment and development, classroom management, and operational management necessary to ensure successful, continuously improving weekend children’s gatherings and periodic special events.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  1. Recruit, develop and lead a team of and volunteers in the operation of a children’s program, including weekend gatherings and periodic special events.
  2. Regularly select and/or develop curriculum for a children’s education program that is part of weekend gatherings.
  3. Implement children’s registration, classroom management, and security policies/practices in support of weekend gatherings and periodic special events.
  4. Direct the recruitment, training, and development of volunteers as needed to staff children’s ministry classrooms and special events.
  5. Cast vision for and program 3 community events that encourages community engagement
  6. Regularly select and/or develop curriculum for parents educational development
  7. Design and plan periodic child dedication services as required, meeting the needs and expectations of families
  8. Lead the creative use and proactive upkeep of children’s facilities and grounds.
  9. Assist in the development of an annual budget for children’s education program and manage spending to budget.
  10. Perform other duties as assigned.
